My husband's cousin posted a picture on Facebook which I have copied on to this Blog. It is one of the (probably) many pictures of these five sisters who spent many hours playing in their father's, Frovin Rasmussen, bands. In the picture (from left to right) is Delayne, Darlene, Delores, Donna, and Dorothy.
It made me wonder what I could find on the internet regarding their performances and their father. The following is what was available...
From "The Music Trade Review" dated FEBRUARY 4, 1928:
Loup City, Neb., High School Band, Frovin Rasmussen.
From "Who's Who of Sherman County Nebraska" dated 1940:

There were three entries from the "Lincoln Evening Journal" from Lincoln, Nebraska (Page 9 - July 18, 1945), (Page 3 - September 16, 1950), (Page 16 - May 16, 1958)
Unfortunately, I need to have an account to "Newspapers" to read these...perhaps later.
There were two obituaries I found where the individuals had performed in the "Frovin Rasmussen Dance Orchestra":
Harold R. Lorenz - "In his younger years he played trumpet in the Rockville town band and occasionally filled in for the Frovin Rasmussen dance orchestra."
Albert Schmaljohn - "Played in the Rasmussen Dance Orchestra, 1927-1940."
