  1. The Comal County Genealogy Society is dedicated to preserving and publishing genealogical information in Comal County and environs to assist our members and others in the pursuit of their family Histories. New Braunfels, the County Seat of Comal County, has a wealth of historical data in the various churches, the County Clerk's Office, and the Sophienburg Archives. The Society accesses all of these and more to compile and publish interesting and informative books, which we hope, save genealogist, present and future, vast amounts of time. All regular Membership meetings held on the second Tuesday of the month will meet at 7:30 p. m. in the meeting room of the Sophienburg Museum and Archives, located at 401 West Coll, except for September and October 2007. A Board of Directors meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m. precedes all regular meetings. Other months we go on tours or visit other Genealogy Societies. Visitors are encouraged to attend. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~txcomal/co-ccgs.htm View full record
  2. The San Antonio Genealogical and Historical Society was chartered in 1959. We are a 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to teach and promote genealogical and historical research, publish and preserve records, and increase awareness of genealogy and history. We maintain an outstanding library of over 15,000 books, publish an award-winning semiannual journal and society books, and conduct educational seminars, classes, and workshops. In addition, through our First Families of Bexar County Program, we recognize descendants of people who were in Bexar County in 1850 or before. http://www.txsaghs.org/ View full record

    Welcome to Comal TX

We created this page to display county information for each state. Our team is engaged in building out the content to populate this page, sharing genealogy and history information. In the near future, we will be adding our library records which contain Books, Newspapers, Photos, Postcards, and other unique materials. Some of these are being presented to connect descendants with their family heirlooms (postcards, journals, Bibles). These library records will also be useful to those wanting assistance in finding an entry for their ancestors; we will perform "lookups" as time permits. If you have suggestions for content or basic input on the website, send us a message. We would be happy to incorporate your ideas. As we continue to populate this page, it should become more useful in your research so please check back soon! View full record
