  1. The Klamath County Historical Society was created and incorporated on May 28, 1946 by people who loved the Klamath Basin and its history. Its goal was to create a museum to preserve the stories, pictures, and artifacts about the basin's history. http://klamathcountyhistoricalsociety.org/ Mail the Klamath County Museum 1451 Main Street Klamath Falls, OR 97601 View full record
  2. The Southern Oregon Historical Society is committed to preserving the rich heritage of this seven-county region, spanning from Curry County, which touches the Pacific Ocean, to Malheur County, which borders Idaho. Our exceptional collections tell stories about early settlers and their encounters with the Native people who populated the area; railroads and the commerce they brought with them; the pear orchard industry that still lays claim to being the area's biggest business; the more recent evolution of wineries; and the personal stories of the thousands of people who call this region home. The Society has undergone great change over the past 5 years - becoming more modern in our ambitions. The Society currently operates the historic Hanley Farm near Central Point and the Research Library in downtown Medford. http://www.sohs.org/ 106 N. 4. We created this page to display county information for each state. Our team is engaged in building out the content to populate this page, sharing genealogy and history information. In the near future, we will be adding our library records which contain Books, Newspapers, Photos, Postcards, and other unique materials. Some of these are being presented to connect descendants with their family heirlooms (postcards, journals, Bibles). These library records will also be useful to those wanting assistance in finding an entry for their ancestors; we will perform "lookups" as time permits. If you have suggestions for content or basic input on the website, send us a message. We would be happy to incorporate your ideas. As we continue to populate this page, it should become more useful in your research so please check back soon! View full record
