What We Do

To encourage and promote a greater appreciation and knowledge of the historical and multicultural heritage of southern New Mexico. DACHS was formed in September of 1963, primarily to save Fort Selden from further deterioration. Our annual awards recognize and encourage the preservation of historical properties, recognize people that have contributed to historical preservation, and buildings that reflect historical styles.
