Archives and Records

Recommended Posts

The records in the Vermont State Archives consist—almost exclusively—of public records, or records created or received by public agencies. They primarily include records of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of state government, although we also hold some county and municipal records. We hold very few personal papers. The records in the archives include paper documents, microfilm, photographs, audio-visual material, and digital records; and span from the beginnings of earliest land grants in Vermont (c. 1688) up to the present.
